My Story

In 2010 I qualified as a doctor and very quickly I could see traditional methods of health care were not effective for the epidemic of mental and metabolic health disorders.

The next 12 years of clinical practice became a journey in understanding the root causes of disease, determinants of health and effective approaches to chronic disease with training including functional and lifestyle medicine.

I have a career portfolio which includes launching a health tech start-up, creating educational apps for GPs and delivering coaching programs in the university education sector.

My personal health journeys in reversing poor metabolic states and burn-out have contributed to a changing philosophy on health care. Studying an executive MBA at the University of Warwick has given me a wider skillset to deliver healthcare in innovative ways, and a wider foundation of learning including in the science of happiness and the economics of well-being.

This unique combination of industry, clinical and life experience combined with formal learning has given me an ability to view health in the context of our wider lives and work. Healthcare can be provided in more effective ways that empowers clients to have better health outcomes, prevent disease and live fulfilled lives.
